THE SLIME GREEN FESTIVAL FASHION EDIT
Slime green was the color of this year in festival fashion. You could even argue that it was the color of fashion, in general, this year, but I think we can all agree that no one did it better than festival fashion brands and fashionistas. You literally couldn't go to an even without seeing someone decked out in slime green something or other. An hour spent scrolling through Instagram You can find everything from bike shorts to sunglasses in this neon hue that looks good on literally every skin tone, which is probably one of the reasons it has been so prominent in the festival fashion.
Given that it dominated festy fashion, I wanted to take the time to round up some of the best items I have found featuring the iconic shade this year. Like millennial pink, I have no doubt that this amazing color is going to rule the scene for a year or two more before another color comes for its throne.
All of the links to the products featured are below their descriptions.
LIME SHAGADELIC WEEKENDER $48.00 (CURRENT MOOD)
Find a cooler bag. I will wait. This fuzzy duffle bag from current mood is a great use of the color trend and perfect for anyone like me who doesn’t want to have to pick through a million black bags and suitcases to find their stuff in the overhead compartment or the bagged pickup. It is eye-catching, iconic, and very reasonably priced.

Biohazard Buckle Shorts $88.00 (Lipt The Label X Dolls Kill)
This set, and specifically these shorts were one of the best examples of neon green this year. The Lipt The Label and Dolls Kill joint collection was an impressive mix of bike shorts and cutouts that flew off the shelves. I own the set in white and can attest that even though the price tag on these is a little high, the quality is fantastic and they are going to make you stand out in the crowd.

CITRON BIKER SHORTS $25.00 (Shop bglittz)
I am obsessed with these neon green, translucent bike shorts by shop bglittz. You may recognize them from my post on why bike shorts should be your go-to festy bottoms. These shorts give you the best of both worlds, you don’t have to worry about sitting down on the ground outside, AND you can show off your super cute bikini bottoms at the same time. Pretty great right? They have three other colors available, but I personally think the neon green is the way to go.

ATOMIC BLISS STRAPPY BODYSUIT $25.00 (CLUB EXX)
This is a slightly paler example of the color, but this scrappy bodysuit by club exx still packs that neon green punch we have all been looking to add to our closes. The underboob is incredibly trendy, and the little zipper details make this bodysuit a total winner. I have also been enjoying the mix of neon green and delicate chains and metallic rings to give it a Barbarella vibe that’s enviable.

PRE-ORDER LONG SLEEVE ZIP FRONT UNITARD - HIGHLIGHTER YELLOW/LIME $160 (LIPT THE LABEL)
This stunning cut-out, unitard from Australian festival fashion brand Lipt The Label is by far the priciest item in this edit, but no doubt one of the coolest. The thick scuba fabric sculpts while the cutouts let you show a little skin without revealing the whole package. The buckle details make this piece. They are chunky and tactical looking to give a most modern touch to the athletic look. As with all of Lipt Label's products, the quality is well worth the price and it will definitely be one of the most Instagram worth outfits in your festival fashion roster.

SLIME SPACE STASH BELT BAG $22.40
This clear belt bag with metal and chain detailing is probably one of the coolest I have seen all year. The little bag is actually quite spacious and can fit the majority of your festival needs, all while keeping you looking amazing. This particular bag does come in other colors, but none of them match the chic, alien look of the slime green option.

NIGHTCALL NEON BOMBER JACKET $85.00 (CLUB EXX)
Neon green is always a win, but fuzz neon green is a freaking triumph. This zip up, faux fur hoodie by the always awesome club exx is one of my favorite examples of neon green in festival fashion this year. It is a great way to work the color into your outfit in a major way without needing to be covered head to toe in it, and I stand by my previous statement on this site, that every festival fashionista needs at least one faux fur jacket in her closet. So, if you are digging the neon green trend, why not try this one?

I C U UV REACTIVE PLATFORM BOOTS $105.00 (DEMONIA)
I was recently lucky enough to see these babies up close, and personal at the Dolls Kill Halloween party, and let me tell you, they are AWESOME. Yes, they may be a little over the top for some, but if you like kooky statement platforms, then these are a must-have. The texture of the fizz makes them look completely different from the usual leather boots you would see, and the googly eyes are the perfect mix of weird and awesome that will have you reaching for them time and time again. They are a little bit more pricey, but hey…can you really put a price on sheer originality?

PARADISE HALF N HALF CO-ORD £62.00 (Hissyfit Clothing)
This co-ord set from English festival brand, Hissyfit clothing is one of the best examples of using slime green minimally while making maximum impact that I have seen. The mix of half and half, green and transparent black mesh gives the clothes a sophisticated simplicity. The metal hardware belt is what really carries off this look by giving a little bit of punk rock to the whole aesthetic and clean lines.
I was also incredibly impressed by the use of the half and half, which is something I had not seen anyone but hissyfit do. It’s perfect for those who want to show a little skin, but don’t want
