THE DOLLS KILL SAMPLE SALE AND BUYING SECOND HAND RAVEGEAR

In case you somehow missed it, Dolls Kill had a sample sale this weekend, and it was insane. If you watched their story, you could see people lining up for blocks down Fairfax, and apparently, some people even camped out to get a shot at being first in line, which is you saw the prices made perfect sense. Dolls Kill, in an attempt to Clea your extra inventory before going into the build-up to this year’s festival season decided to throw a two-day sample sale where you could buy everything from boots to body jewels are crazy low prices. On the second day, there were selling all shoes for only twenty dollars a pair, which is beyond a steal seeing as 'cheap' shoes at Dolls Kill usually means you are getting something for seventy dollars.

RAVES AND PACIFIERS

I have a weird fixation on pacifiers in rave culture. This interest began when I started to notice a trend of including iconography of and actual pacifiers on jewelry, clothing, and other gear sold at DOLLS KILL, which is you haven’t figured it out already, is my favorite retailer. As a so-called ‘new-school’ raver, this was my first introduction to them having only ever noticed one or two at an actual event. However, once I started looking for them when I went to events I started to notice more and more people with one little string around their neck as more than just a fashion statement.

RECOVERING FROM A FESTIVAL

So, You made it to the end of the weekend! Maybe it was one day, maybe you had four days and three nights of fun. Either way, now it is time to get back to the real world, and that means recovering from whatever you may have indulged in. While everyone recovers differently, here are a few things you can do to make the transition back into the normal world a little less painful.

KEEPING THE SQUAD TOGETHER

Festivals can be chaotic. It’s easy to underestimate just how easy it can be to lose track of your friends in the crowd. All it takes is for one person to be distracted when the group gets moving, or for one person to wander off, or maybe just get swept away in the current of the crowd. Depending on your personality, getting separated can either be the most awesome experience, or it can be a panic attack inducing nightmare. Either way, it helps to have a few strategies in mind so that if someone gets lost, you won’t have to spend the entire night trying to find them.
