CLUB EXX IS KILLING THE WINTER FASHION GAME

This week has been a particularly chilly one in Los Angeles, which combined with some beautiful pictures of a snow-dusted Lake Tahoe got me once again thinking about Snow Globe, which I will be attending in a few weeks. Mostly, it got me thinking about my outfits. As I previously mentioned in the post on WINTER FESTIVAL SEASON, dressing for the colder temperatures, particularly at Snow Globe is somewhat of a challenge. For festival fashionistas who don’t want to sacrifice fashion for warmth, it can seem like an impossible challenge to find festival outfits. Rave fashion is perhaps most notable for the fact that it is pretty skimpy. That is hard to be helped when events take place in the summer heat of Vegas and Southern California, where the lowest temperatures are going to be a balmy sixty degrees. However, when the Snow Globe wristbands come with a warning to wear thermals and waterproof boots, the usual bikini bottoms and pasties aren’t going to cut it. Thankfully, the Club Exx Snow Globe and Winter range has to become of the most amazing winter festival fashion I have seen.

The line now available on (you guessed it) Dolls Kill includes everything you need for the colder temperatures at Snow Globe to the mildly cold ones you’ll encounter at countdown or decadence in the evenings. However, I think that perhaps the coolest part about the winter range is that (at least with some of the items) you don’t need to worry about wearing it for one event and then never using it again. In fact, if you live in the northeast or anywhere else where snow is a major part of your winter, some of the more practical pieces are going today for themselves in no time.

As a child, I remember wearing the ugliest snow gear in the world. I had a pair of eggplant purple snow pants, complete with matching jacket that would make me nauseous now, but that I thought were the coolest thing ever. Ten-year-old me was greatly disadvantaged not to have Club Exx snow gear in my life. Now, I have already purchased and received a few of the Snow Globe pieces and wanted to talk a little about them as well as some of the more recently added items to the collection. The first item I ordered was the Space Bae Escapade Puffer Jacket. I was instantly drawn to the beautiful blue and purple holographic color of the jacket and the reasonable price point. One point I would really like to stress is that the beauty of this collection is also the price point. Club Exx is one of my favorite brands because they always price reasonably. They aren’t trying to rob you or overcharge you for their clothing or shoes, and You can afford to get several pieces from them without breaking the bank. The quality is always also wonderful. I have had pieces from them made of fishnet that have outlasted sturdier looking things from other brands.

The puffer jacket was light, but also incredibly warm so it will make an excellent layering piece. It is water resistant which is also a huge plus. The second item I received was the Snow Blazin’ Hiker Boots. These immediately blew my mind. The reflective, hologram material is stunning, and the form trip on and inside the ankles is an awesome touch that adds a little extra insulation. The thick heels make them perfect for uneven ground, and they are incredibly sturdy which means you can truly use them as a pair of winter boots, as long as the snow where you’re going isn’t too high.

All in all just from these two purchases it is clear that Club Exx really isn’t messing around with this collection, which is why I wanted to make a shopping list of a few of any favorite pieces. If you are going to Snow Globe and still haven’t found your outfit, or if you are just someone who’s tired of wearing boring, ugly snow gear, you can’t miss this collection. All of these items are supposed to sell out very quickly so I would suggest making a move soon. The blue/purple hologram snowsuit sold out long before I had a chance to get the money together to buy one, and I am still a little upset about it. Don’t wait, or it will be too late!

These have to be the coolest snow pants I have ever seen. The beautiful color is what has made this range one of my favorites. The blue, purple hologram is perfect for winter but also sleek and elegant enough to look like something out a retro science fiction movie. These are perfect to pair with the puffer jacket for a warm and coordinating look for snow globe or just to shovel snow out of your driveway. The clasps at the ankle also help you to trap heat which is perfect for those extra cold days.

I am in love with this coat (obviously, as I bought it for myself). Perhaps the coolest detail is that is actually has a hood hidden away in the lining, so you have the option to keep more of that oh so precious heat inside. It works great as a co-ord set with the snow pants, but also looks amazing with a pair of leggings and a black sweater on a colder day. The coat is also light enough that you can wear from fall into winter. If you were only going to buy one piece from this collection, I would suggest this one. You get that amazing color, the functionality, and the insanely stylish piece at one of the lowest prices you'll find out in the range.

NORTHERN SOUL SNOW PANTS $75.00

Another insane holographic piece, these snow pants are a major winner and such a departure from the standard boring black. I love that you get the snow bunny look without needing to break the bank. The more neutral color also means you can pair them with other colors without worrying about having the outfit clash.

AURORA BEAM HOLOGRAPHIC SNOWSUIT $150.00

This may be one of the coolest ski suits of all time. You are going to look like a sci-fi winter barbie doll cruising down the slopes in this amazing one piece. If you are looking for something easy but still guaranteed to turn heads at Snow Globe, it is going to be almost impossible to beat this. It is the perfect mix of style, function, and ease as you only really need to worry about having a base layer to make sure you get extra toasty. One more thing, you can convert it into a romper. I know. It’s amazing.

GLACIER GURL FURRY HAT $28.00

You are going to want a hat, and this one is pretty darn cool. The ear flaps can be tied up and out of the way if you don’t want them, but the option of keeping your ears toasty is always a positive when the wind picks up. The ice blue color is pretty and neutral enough that you can add this to your everyday winter wardrobe without feeling outlandish. The pom moms are another cute little touch to this awesome hat.

SNOW BLAZIN' HIKER BOOTS $88.00

If you think these boots look pretty in the picture, you should see them IRL. These hiker boots are stunning and incredibly well made. The fur at the ankle helps to trap warms, and they are roomy enough for a pair of thick winter socks to fit comfortably, making them both stylish and functional. These are the perfect boots for snow globe and wonderful for winter wear in places where a little snow can pile up. The chunky soles have very good grip, and the block heel gives you some lift without making them dangerous on slippery surfaces.

These pants are perfect for the slightly chilly so cal evenings, but still light enough that you won’t be sweating to death if it gets a little warmer. The sequins will have you sparkling like a snowy disco ball, which is beyond awesome. I also love the flared legs to give you some cool disco vibes.

I know vests aren’t for everyone, but this reflective pink one with matching fur lining is pretty darn cool. A vest is perfect for evenings when it gets a tiny bit chilly, but the heat of the crowd would make a larger coat a little too heavy. Who doesn't love a fuzzy shoe? These boots are amazing. The lilac fur and the giant platform are going to have you looking you stepped out of the most glam expedition to the artic ever. I love the holographic toes and the segmented tops of the boots, which break up the color with a little shine. These may not be the best for the forest, but for Countdown or Decadence, these are going to be a knockout.
