LAST MINUTE SNOW GLOBE 2018 CHECKLIST

Snow Globe 2018 is almost here, and it’s time to make sure you have everything you need to rock the night away without freezing your butt off the entire time. There has been a lot of snow on the ground in Lake Tahoe, so we all need to be ready for a cold one. Though we still have a few days left before we all need to get in our cars, trains, or planes and head up to Tahoe, it is essential to make sure you have everything you need ready to go so that you don’t end up forgetting something important on the way out.

These are just general guidelines and some basic ideas of what to bring. If you are still trying to decide what to wear, please check out my other posts about the Club Exx winter range and how to prepare for winter festival season, but using the tag at the top of the post “Snow Globe”

CLOTHING MUST HAVES

  • SNOWBOOTS

Make sure you have a pair of sturdy snowboots that are at least somewhat water resistant because while the snow on the ground may not be as bad in the event space itself, walking to and from the event, you are likely to encounter some snow. Basically, you don’t want to be in your sneakers in the snow so make sure you have a pair of boots.

  • GLOVES

Nothing is worse than frozen fingers. Make sure to pick up a pair of gloves if you haven’t already.

  • HAT

Please don’t forget a hat. Even if you think you don’t need one, trust me, it helps to have one when the temperatures drop at night.

  • WOOL SOCKS

They don’t need to be wool, I actually have an awesome pair of synthetic socks, but the main point is that you need something to keep your feet warm and toasty. Nobody wants a pair of cold feet.

  • A HEAVY COAT

If you are like me and always think you’ll be fine without a ton of layers, you’re probably going to end up wrong and cold. So, please bring a heavy-duty winter coat with you.

  • HYDROPACK

Life is a party, stay hydrated.

  • LAYERS/ THERMALS

It is so important to make sure you have layers. If you are wearing ski or snow pants, then wear a pair of leggings or something underneath. Even if you think it might be overkill, it is better to be safe then sorry.

EXTRAS

  • BLANKETS AND QUILTS

Even if you are staying at a hotel, it helps to have blankets with you in case it gets super chilly at night. If you are staying at an Air BnB, I would suggest you bring a blanket or two just in case.

  • HOT HANDS HEAT PACK

It never hurts to have a heat pack. If you are worried about being cold having one of these on hand is always a great thing.

  • COCOA MIX AND MARSHMALLOWS

Why not lean into the winter weather a little bit and bring some of the fixings for cocoa. When you get back from hours of being out in the cold winter air, nothing is going to warm you up like a nice cup of cocoa.

  • CLOTHING OPTIONS

The temperature is holding in the low thirties for the weekend, so I would suggest making sure you have options (sweaters, scarfs, jeans, leggings, sweatpants). Even if you think you may not need anything else but your festival gear, it helps to have something else to wear while you're lounging around in the mornings or when you get home in the evening.
